Filmmaking is about bringing pieces of the world to others through stories. Only then can we truly see ourselves. Only then can we understand the uniqueness of our humanity.

HANNAH HOOVER
During annual summer visits to New York City in my early teens I exchanged countless stories with strangers in central park from all walks of life, including heartfelt tales with the city’s homeless. Since those connections I’ve felt intensely drawn to stories based on the human condition.
This led me on journeys around the world to diverse places with rich cultural traditions and communities. I’ve conducted documentary interviews in places like Nepal, India, Kenya, Greece, and Indonesia, learning about real world issues such as immigration, discrimination and poverty. What I discovered during my travels is while people’s stories are unique they all share the fundamental commonality of family, love, and a desire for a safe and happy life.
